PHOTO RALLY

Put 40 student athletes into 7 groups, give them a challenge, then watch the carnage unfold. That was my privilege during our first ever 9:25 photo rally. As the instigator of the event, I was lucky enough to be able organize the event. Given a list of 21 words/phrases each group had to take a photo explaining the phrase. I wasn't quite ready for the competitiveness that surfaced. I guess i should have been ready, knowing that it wasn't just my family or a group of youth group kids competing, it was 40 athletes who are at the top of there sports and love to compete. After a few brawls and a lot of shouting the teams left in a staggered fashion after they solved a riddle. Approx 1 hour later all the teams returned (Disqualified if returning after 9:25). The teams continued to play games and eat pizza while I was out judging the groups trying to come up with a winner......after some careful deliberation, a team was just chosen. It was just too hard to decide......some teams had done more photos while other had done less, but higher quality photos. All together a super fun night and all I heard for the next week was praise for the evening......and of course teams still thinking they should have won!!
