It tells of the story of a girl who gets given a nutcracker toy by her toy making Godfather, unable to resist another look before she goes to sleep she heads down to the living room where she finds her nutcracker toy, the Christmas tree and everything around her had come to life. She enjoys and adventurous night helping the nutcracker win a war against the Mouse King, running through the snow and dancing with the snow Queen and the sugar plum fairy. Along with the dancing, the athleticism and beautiful costumes the dancers wore was the highlight. There was also a live orchestra which made it very dramatic. Defiantly a fun night.

 The Nutcracker Ballet was the end of a great day!! Friday I finished my finals, went home and crashed!! I woke up Saturday morning, went for a snowy run with Hannah, had a Christmas brunch at Heather and Robbie's house with a group of our friends, then helped wrap presents outside Walmart to show a little love and Christmas spirit to the Walmart shoppers. The rest of the day Heather, Hannah and i prettied ourself up ready for the ballet. A group of 7 of us (Hannah, Stephen, Heather, Robbie, Micah and Timmy) dressed in our best went out to dinner at a little Italian restaurant then headed off to the ballet. I had never been to a live ballet but enjoyed it thoroughly. It seems like the Nutcracker is a more famous ballet here in America than it is at home.
